FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Answers to the questions we’re asked most, by phone, by email and at the park itself.
Is the park open all year round?
No, only from 1 October to 30 April. We’re a small, family-run team — we use the remaining months to look after the park and its green areas, and arrive at each new season fully ready to welcome you.
Do I need to book?
No, we don’t take bookings. It’s first come, first served at check-in.
Is the park adults only?
Yes, we only take guests aged 18 and over.
Are the showers, toilets and laundry included in the price?
No, these are separate paid extras — the park is designed for self-sufficient motorhomes.
Can I exchange notes for coins at the park?
Yes, but only at reception. The shower and laundry machines only take €1 coins, and the toilet only takes €0.50 coins.
Can I use the service point or the sanitary facilities without staying overnight?
No — access to the service point, showers, toilets and laundry is reserved for guests staying overnight.
Why do motorhomes weighing 7 tonnes or more pay a supplement?
Motorhomes of this size usually have larger tanks and systems, with proportionally higher use of water and of the park’s infrastructure as a whole — from the pitch to the service point. The €2 per night supplement reflects that heavier use, and applies from 7 tonnes gross vehicle weight (GVW), on pitches with or without electricity alike (see Prices).
Can I charge my electric car at the park?
No — charging electric vehicles using Ecopark’s electricity isn’t permitted, for two reasons. The technical one: pitches run on a 6A/220V circuit, designed for a motorhome’s normal usage (fridge, chargers, some lighting), not for charging an EV — even a slow charge typically draws 10-16A or more, which can easily trip the pitch’s circuit breaker or create a fire risk if connected in an improvised way. And the fairness one: the price of a pitch with electricity is set for a motorhome’s typical usage, and charging an EV would use a much larger share of energy, at the expense of other guests.
Can I have another vehicle besides my motorhome?
Yes. Just let us know at check-in, so we can make sure it has free access to the park during your stay — motorbikes and quad bikes don’t need this. As a rule, a second vehicle (your own or hired) is parked in the car park in front of reception; it can only stay by your pitch if there’s enough room, without things getting too tight.
Can I have visitors at my motorhome?
Yes, and free of charge! Just let reception know in advance — visitors are only allowed between 8am and 8pm, the same hours as the gate, and their vehicles can’t come into the park.
What if we get back late from dinner, after quiet hours have started?
During quiet hours (10pm–8am) it’s strictly forbidden to drive any vehicle inside the park — car, motorbike or motorhome — even just to your own pitch. If you arrive after that time, there’s a car park in front of reception, away from the pitches, where you can leave your vehicle without disturbing other guests.
What if I don’t like my pitch?
You can move the next day, subject to availability — just always let reception know first.
Does the Wi-Fi reach every pitch?
Yes, free coverage across the whole park.
Is the Wi-Fi good enough for remote work or video calls?
Yes — we run a high-speed network with several access points spread across the park, so the connection reaches every pitch properly.
Do I need to bring my own washing powder for the laundry?
Yes — washing powder and fabric softener aren’t included in the price of the machine. That way, anyone with allergies or sensitivities to certain products can always bring their own.
Does every pitch have electricity?
No — pitches without electricity are priced lower (see Prices).
Can I bring my dog or cat?
Yes, with a few simple rules (see Facilities).
Is there a weekly, monthly or long-stay rate?
No — we keep a single daily rate, so it stays fair whatever the length of your stay (see Prices).
Can I stay as long as I like?
Yes — many guests arrive for a few days and end up staying weeks, sometimes months.
Is reception always open while the gate is?
No — the gate is open from 8am to 8pm, but reception staff are only there in person from 10:30am to 12:30pm and 3:30pm to 5:30pm.
What’s the last check-in time?
7:30pm, even though the gate stays open until 8pm.
What time is check-out?
There isn’t a fixed time — each stay runs in 24-hour blocks, starting from the moment payment goes through. So check-out time is different for every guest, depending on when they checked in.
Do you offer refunds if I leave earlier than planned?
We don’t offer refunds. Only pay for the nights you’re sure of — you can always pop back to the kiosk to extend your stay.
How do I get to the park?
See our address and GPS coordinates on the Contact page.
Are there any activities or events at the park?
Yes — we regularly run workshops, local produce markets and group walks along the trails around the park (see Blog).
